Sian Wei

Sian Wei is a Chinese artist and illustrator working between China and the UK. Her practice centres on narrative illustration and painting. She holds a BA in Illustration from Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London, and a BA in Fashion and Accessory Design from Shanghai Institute of Visual Art.

Working primarily with watercolour, she is interested in the medium's fluidity and unpredictability. Through painting, drawing and artist publications, her practice investigates how memories and everyday encounters can be transformed into visual narratives that move between figuration and abstraction.
